At home we had the habit of washing dishes every night after dinner. My mom hated having dirty dishes staying overnight, so we would wash them and stack them up to dry over night. Many times in the middle of the night we could hear the dishes falling, and as soon as we ran downstairs to see what was going on, all the dishes were still neatly stacked up untouched.

In my room there were two doors: one that led to the hallway to go downstairs and another one that led to the bathroom, which also had another entrance through the hallway. I was doing homework on my bed, and the door that led to the hallway was open, so I could see who was coming upstairs, and the door from my room that led to the bathroom was
