There is a haunted stable in Big Bear City, me and my 2 friends Shyanne and Arianna went inside to see if it's true. There were loud noises like someone banging on the stable door on the last door to the right, but nobody was there. My friend Arianna said she saw someone behind us like a dark shadow. Then we noticed a chain moving back and forth, but this was only during the day. At night is when the real action happens.
This stable is haunted.

North of the old natural lake (Lake Baldwin) which is mostly dry was the town of Doble, an old mining town which was at the foot of the old Rose Mine site, still visible in ruins on the side of the hill next to what is now a landfill site.

When I was a young girl my father and mother would go looking using a metal detector my father had, and at the time there were still a few ruins of old cabins the miners used still standing but worn and dilapidated. We would hunt for square nails and find old purple bottles near some of these sites. One day as we were walking around looking for old rusted square nails I suddenly heard my mother scream. I looked up and her eyes were wide with fear and she was shaking. I ran to her and she told me she had felt what felt like an icy cold hand on her arm and then she suddenly got a mental image of a gold ring...
Well we got out from under that huge old cedar pine right away and she was visibly shaken for the rest of the day. The old town is gone now and all that is left is a somewhat secret graveyard that was once visible but now hidden away from the road due to vandals. We also saw an old man and a mule once near Holcomb Valley. We thought it odd because it was near dark and we were traveling down a dirt road out in the middle of nowhere, he looked out of place. As we passed he looked straight at us and then when we turned and looked back at him he vanished.
Seems there are as many ghosts in the area as there are ghost towns, and I know of two .
