I just moved to Carpinteria in January. I live near the swamp / nature reserve in dt carp south of the rail road tracks. While unloading my car I kept hearing a baby crying. I looked behind me and there was nothing there so I continued unloading.
As I was about to head to my apartment I heard someone running towards me. I turned and no one was there so I ignored it. The next week I took a stroll around sunset and reached my apartment after dark.
I saw a young woman standing behind my neighbors car and I thought it was strange so I walked over to see if she was lost or whatnot. I heard someone running up behind me so I turned to see and there was no one there.

When I turned back to the woman she had vanished. I had turned away for less than 5 seconds and the lot is very open. I would have seen where she had gone if she had walked off.

There is a restaurant just by the exit off the 101 freeway. This restaurant has been closed down because of ghost sightings. There has been a ghost seen at the top of the stair cases.
