I used to live in this town and owned a huge home on Bernard Drive. We got knocking on the walls. My mom visited our home and decided never to go back. She had a episode of someone shoved her off the couch. Doorbell would ring while no one there.|

There is a 51-year-old unsolved crime from 1965 in Crestline, CA. The Boles family murders (there was a movie made about it still available.) I was a young kid at the time. My dad's boss had a cabin down the road from the cabin where they were killed. Three weeks after this terrible murder our family and a couple of others were invited up, and three of us kids took a walk up the road. I had heard about this crime. As kids do, we walked up to the place as no one was around, and it was fairly isolated at the time. It had no curtains in the window. We looked in the front window and saw where the dog had been on the couch. We went around the back, and the door was open just slightly. Don't know why, but it had to be by mistake.
As we all know, kids will do things. We pushed the door open with a stick or something and went in. I don't know if the victims of this awful crime haunt this place; only the owners over the years would know about such. However, seeing this crime scene has given me just a few nightmares for over 51 years and not officially solved. Such a sad story young children murdered so brutal especially. The movie doesn't give every detail as to what we saw inside that terrible September day in 1965.
There were personal effects a bloody shoe, wall to wall blood in the master, and beds turned down for the night in the boys' room. Everything was just frozen in time. Us three young girls were in shock. We tiptoed in and right back out shutting the back door which had been open. I can't imagine why it was open in the first place. I can't imagine some of the energy (without it having been spiritually cleansed) that might linger here. I hope that long ago family is at peace and that they don't linger.

I traveled that road a lot when I lived up in Crestline. You were in the parking lot above Silverwood Lake. On many occasions I would see a red-ish glowing orb ''falling'' or diving into the water at night.
