Comment by Laura: I lived in that area by the OLPH Church in the 1990s. It was creepy at night. I remember when I lived in SF and would go to DC in the 1970s, there was an old train track by Duggan's funeral home by Junipero Serra where the movie theatre is today.

I've been hearing sounds of a train whistling as it passes by outside my house, every 1 or 2 am each Thursday. I live near our lady of perpetual help church, and it's starting to creep me out. I know for certain, that there aren't any trains here in Daly City.

It sounded like the whistle of an old train during the early ages of Daly City. I'm still trying to find out more about the history of the area I live in. Thanks. Submitted by Ferjohn
Comment by Denise: Here is a link to your train: http://www. Dalycityhistory. Org/gateway/ch19.pdf also trains used to run down mission to colma during the transfer of bodies form the old cemeteries in the city that were closed down when neighborhoods began to expand.
Comment by Ariana: I live right there too and found out that big empty house right on the corner by the church used to be a insane asylum and St. Vincent Dr. Paul used to be a French bank.
