The Hillside area of Daly City is among some on the oldest areas of Daly City. Some of the biggest older homes around Hillside Boulevard and Mission/El Camino are farm houses that date back to the gold rush era. Until the late 1980s the gold rush era, store fronts served as storage spaces in the back yards near the Colma fire station, and Jefferson High School's theatre was rumored to have a ghost in residence.

I have lived in the Hillside neighborhood in Daly City, CA for about 20 years. I have heard strange noises in my home. Things were falling in the kitchen. Our garage door was opening by itself. My husband heard a voice calling his name. Three years ago I was painting the Interior of the house, and my cat saw something in the hallway, and I got my camera and caught an orb floating around.

I live on a high traffic street where funerals often drive by to go to the Colma Cemeteries. One time I saw a hearse drive by my house with a strange man in the passenger seat looking up at my window and smiling at me with an evil look. Another time my daughter saw two women dressed in black walking in the foggy night that looked like witches, and they were walking in front of her and disappeared. Then they appeared at the opposite side of the street in less than a minute.
I think the whole street is haunted. My neighbor's next door kid would wake up crying in the middle of the night. They moved out. The family before moved too. They only lived in the house for three years. I got used to the strange activity and live with it.
Just recently my security camera recorded a strange ghostly image at about 3:00 a.m. in the driveway. I'd like to upload the video, but I don't know how to do it.
