These are my memories from being three to five years old and may not be entirely accurate. As I was a small child, my mother started dating someone that lived at a Desert Hot Springs home. You had to go down a long dirt road to get to the house. Every time we would go and visit the car would be tinkered with when we tried to leave. My mom always blamed me for the car mirrors being turned, all the radio stations being reset, or having the music blast once

you start the car. One night my mom visited the house without me and told me the same thing happened. She assumed the dirt path rattled things in the

car.
After a while we moved into the house. It had a big back yard with built-in cages for birds and strange rock statues placed randomly around bushes. There were also lots of exit doors leading to outside, one in almost every room. Even the bathroom had an escape door that lead to outside.
The TV as well as the stereo would randomly change channels or turn on and off in the house. Cabinets would open and close in the kitchen. We had an electrician
