in the 80s. Finally if you go up to the lookout point overlooking Hemet the first one before Desert Center and if you part there at night looking down at Hemet, the town looks like Satan's head. Its one horn is Hwy 74 out of town, and the other horn is Lambs Canyon. I still have dreams of Hemet all the time. They are all weird dreams, and I've been gone since 1991.

Comment by Ryan: Hey. There are a few entries about Thompson and Taylor Streets. I'm from that neighborhood originally. There seems to be so many stories in that area.
Comment by Anonymous: I apologize this is not about a haunting or any paranormal sightings. I am replying in response to your entry about Tony. I remember when this happened in 1985. I was attending Hemet High School at the same time. He would have graduated that year. You never know what turmoil a person is going through even though on the outside he seemed to have the world at his feet. He was a high school football star dating a cheerleader. I think he had a scholarship to a college (UCR if I remember correctly).
After reading your entry I had no idea, and probably no one else did as to the torment that this young man was going through. The saddest thing is if this would have happened today, he might have been able to get help or counseling to help him cope with the multiple tragedies he had encountered in his life.
Back then it would have been considered a weakness to admit that you needed help in some way. If one was depressed, you would have been considered as a pariah in the community. You would have been told to man up and deal with it. If only help would have been available for him, he very well might be alive today and have been able to graduate high school and college, get married, have children, and maybe even have grandchildren now.
It is one of those things that you think about when you hear a young life taken too soon, even if by his own hand. No matter what our social status is in this life, all of us could be or know that one person who looks OK on the outside, yet is screaming for help on the inside.

This is very interesting, reading through the postings. I see several postings talking about Thompson and Taylor Streets. I grew up on Thompson going toward Johnston, just a jump away from Taylor Street. The house is pink with a white garage. My parents sold it and moved away, and I live out of California now.
