I live on California Avenue next to the Maze Stone. I know the man who lived in my house before he died in a car crash. When I first moved in about 5 years ago we dug up signs of Native American villages. When I went up to my room to grab a jacket my necklace tree on the dresser at the other end of the room started rocking violently back and forth. Since then I have seen tall shadows lurking around my home, heard voices, and smelled something wild. I've had my feet touched as I leaned over my bed and had stuff fly off my desk. Most recently I was cleaning my room and singing a 1940s WWII song. My childhood rocking horse started moving back and forth but stopped when I stopped singing. Anyone else have California Avenue ghost stories?.

Comment by Mikey: Hey, Alyssa. My name is Mikey. I live next door to you. I moved there when I was 13 in 1989. My house was built on the San Jacinto Cemetery and was purchased for a dollar but only if we moved it, so we had it moved to our property next door to the Mazestone. My house was built in 1903 on Sante Fe and Midland. It was the originally cemetery keeper's house when the cemetery was first started. I have heard a lot of strange things out there where we live. You should check out some of the local Luiseno lore. Google Tahquitz and Algoot. I believe it is the local Native American story that explains how the Mazestone got its markings. Anyways, you can email me if you like. mazestoned @ gmail. com.
