From 1988 to 1993 I lived on W. Pottery St. My husband and I were thrilled to buy an old home that needed some renovation and TLC; it was built in the 1910s. Not long after moving in, my oldest daughter said the house had a ghost. She is a 'sensitive', a person who 'sees' spirits, so I did not doubt her. If our family was upstairs, we would hear footsteps on the wooden floors below, and vice versa. Occasionally we would wake up at night to the smell of pot roast, even though I had not cooked any. Once in a while a cabinet door would be open even though none of us had been in the room.
What really scared me to the core was hearing what could only be described as a 'hound from hell. ' I was up late one night scoring students' papers. My second story office had windows that faced the back yard. I heard some snarling, very low at first, and I thought it was our dog reacting to a possum. As the eerie snarling and growling grew louder, I knew it was not the dog. She had NEVER made such a sound. There was no way another dog could have gotten into the yard. The hair on my arms stood up, and I froze in fear. I wanted to awaken my husband and tell him to come and hear this demonic growling, but I could not move. This went on for about five minutes, and then the growling stopped.
We moved to Wildomar in 1993 and rented out the Pottery house for a couple of years. None of our tenants complained of unusual activity, but for some reason they would not live there long. I wonder if others who have lived there since had experiences too.

Comment by Trudy: This message is for owlqueen. I submitted info I hope you'll get but didn't include my email address which is trudster9595 @icloud. com. Let me know if you did get my post.
Comment by Trudy: Yes, there's been a few people plus my family who all have stories to tell. Most are harmless, but unfortunately some seem bad or demonic. When I learned there were Indian burial grounds that were dug up for the artifacts things started making sense. We had our own ghosts at my house and my daughter's house kitty corner from mine. Hers are creepy. From more things happening than I can count. We all believe an angry man murdered a woman and her little boy. The man may have killed himself as well, but for sure something horrific happened to the woman and boy. Too long for me to type it all. I'm out of storage space. I was quite surprised this came up very easily.
Another girl in another group I belong to started a post saying how we all know the whole city is haunted and went on to say lets get ghost adventurers out here. I had the Paranormal Society change their mind and said they would come to my daughter's old house if I could get a permit. By the time I got their message she had already moved. Since then people move in and out like crazy, so I'm pretty sure there's still the same kind of stuff going on.
I've also talked to other people who once we start talking they too have had experiences. There's just getting to be more and more, but there are souls here that need put to rest and places that need cleansed. This lady and I are getting as much info as we can in hopes of hooking up with the group with experiences and know how.
Do you mind if we include your story? I personally won't ask your address of the house on Pottery until something solid materializes, and then the professionals will need it. I'm just curious if it's close to Main Street. That's where Indian burial grounds were dug up, and a couple of places are haunted. The more people talk, the more things are coming out. We seem to have a lot of stories to tell. Also a better chance of getting help from professionals to come out here and help. Thank you for your story. Do you mind if I share it?.
