From the time I sold my business in Leona Valley I went to work for the new owner of the Historic Rock Inn. The story goes that when the first owners owned The Rock Inn their only daughter hung herself on her wedding day. Her fiancé did not show, and she became very despondent over this. She took a rope and ended it all on the outside upstairs ''Penthouse'' Balcony. Some three stories up. The bottom portion of the Inn has a restaurant and a bar.

Upstairs houses a communal restroom and six rooms. I had to stay there at one point.
This was about three in the morning. It sounded like a full

blown party down stairs. I got dressed, went down the back way thinking that the back doors would be open. Since the restrooms are outside. Door was locked from the inside, and not one sole was in site. The waitress' station as well as the food preparation both had swinging doors like you would see in westerns saloon doors. The room I had been living in was above the waitress' station. Sound asleep in bed and about four in the morning you hear and feel the doors
