I was walking home from the new Stater Bros that opened up. It was about 10:30 at night. I looked up from changing the song on my phone and saw something walking towards me about 100 yards in front of me. At first I didn't think anything of it because ''people walk on this road.'' I looked down to my phone again to change the song again. I looked back up and physically watched the figure go from a solid black figure to an empty space.
I decided take a different route home. With the different route I didn't see or hear anything. However, I got back onto the road for my neighborhood and started hearing footsteps running up behind me. I turned around really quick to see nothing there, so I chalked it off as my footsteps echoing in my ears. Continuing on my way home I got to my yard, and I heard shouting and footsteps coming towards me again. I quickly ran into my house and locked the door.

Comment by C: Hey, did this happen on Menifee Road? Near Calle Kirkpatrick Elementary. I live in that area and walk to Staters all the time. I've only once seen what I thought were a group of people walking towards me only to have them vanish as I approached. This was near the fenced area of the school, and there was nowhere for them to go.

Recently I moved into a house in Menifee on the other side of the city towards Canyon Lake. Ever since I moved here me and friends take day and night walks. There is this 2,000 foot Water Gutter dam thing that leads into a huge field, and to get into the ditch type gutter, there is fencing all around it, but there is an area open from someone cutting the gate or something.
