I was living at the far north end of El Redondo drive just before they were building more houses. It was overall a nice and fairly new neighborhood, and nothing ever seemed to stand out. However, one night in the middle of the summer I had my window open to let the air in. Around 10:00 p.m. I heard the most terrifying scream outside. It sounded as if someone was in pain. I went to get my housemate and asked if she could hear it too. She did. The screaming stopped as soon as we heard other neighbors outside.
Later on that night around 1 a.m. we woke up to five loud explosions. We didnít know where they came from or what caused them, but what confused us was the fact no one else in the neighborhood seemed to hear it. They almost sounded like cannons or old weapons being used in a old war re-enactment. Ever since that night the whole area has a strange vibe to it. You get this strange feeling of being watched even though the neighborhood is one of the newest in town. The bike paths along El Redondo Drive also give off an uncomfortable vibe at night also. .

We moved to Conestoga Drive in Merced, CA from Mariposa. My first night there in our new apartment I heard what sounded like a police scanner. A year later crazy things started happening. It started with my husband. He was hearing screams and cries for help. Then he kept hearing his name being called. It was constant and because no one else heard it he would break down and cry.
I called his mother. I was convinced he had lost his mind. One day we walked to the store, and he stopped dead in his tracks. He looked at me and said they had just called my name and that it was a first for that. My heart dropped to my stomach. That night sure enough I started to hear the old internet dial up tone he had mentioned many times. For the next week it progressed to 24 / 7 scream, and calling my name. I called 911 ten times one night because the voices were saying they were going to kill my whole family.
