minutes alone I got the dog and sat on the front porch. I watched TV through the screen door until my mom came home. My mother even admitted (in later years) that she always felt like someone was watching her in that house.

Hi, I live in Merced on West 14th Street. I have encountered several very creepy things since moving here. At night in the front yard it always feels as if someone is very close watching you. It makes the hairs on your arms and neck stand up. Sometimes it's so intense I have to walk quickly back in the house. I've seen figures float across the yard, and the strangest thing of all is very often from nowhere you get the whiff of a very very odd smell. It's not totally gross, but it is very very strange. Every time I smell it, I right away turn on my EMF meter, and it always is buzzing off the charts.

The Hideaway Pace restaurant at 18th and Martin Luther King near the Merced theatre. My family owned this historic home from 1976 till 1979 and lived there. Our restaurant at that time was called ''the Pizza-Deli''. We lived in the upstairs, and the restaurant was downstairs. There are two spirits there at least. The house was built by the first florist in Merced. He lived there with his wife and mother who died of natural causes.
