shadow and the shadow did not change it actually got darker as the light struck it. They said that the figure's body language was that of a started person trying to decide which way to run. It dashed behind a tent and they immediately when to search for it and there was no one there. I tried to look for other ghost/paranormal sightings at wood ward reservoir on the internet and could not find anything!.

Comment by Suzanne: I used to live in Oakdale in the late 80's and remember someone had drowned in Woodward.

Comment by Tiffany: When I was in 7th grade a freshman from Oakdale High School named James died in the water trying to swim with an ice chest to another part of the lake. Sad : (.
Comment by Megan: Yes! Many many people have died in the water at Woodward. Every summer... In fact someone just drowned last week on Labor Day. I camp here often as it's close to me. I'm from Modesto. Once in a while when we camp I hear footsteps by my tent at night. Ones that are too big to be an animal. The last time we went my brother's friend and I were up around 12:30 am by the fire just talking when he heard a large splash way to big to be a fish swimming. It happened again. Then I heard it too. We went to look. Nothing was there. Very creepy. I do believe this place has the spirits of those who have drowned in the past.
