I lived in a house on 40th Avenue in east Oakland when I was sixteen years old. There was a boarded up room in the house, and because my mom threw me out of the house at the time me and my girlfriend made this our room. Her mom was a junkie and owned the home. One day early in the morning while she was showering something made my eyes open and close several times. After the third time my body froze, and there was a whole family (see through and gray) looking at me mad. I was so scared and could not move and could feel there energy mad. Finally in what seemed forever my eyes closed and opened, and I could move. I ran out that room. I found out a man killed his whole family in that room. I slept in the kitchen, but I could feel there energy even while not seeing them. I tried to stop by the house to see from outside several years ago (15 years later maybe). However, I don't recognize the house any more. It was painted, must be new owners. Good luck to whoever lives there. Oakland by 38th Avenue.

I was living in a foster care group home at the very top corner of High Street. My bed was about 12 inches away from the window, so I was very close when I heard a knock on the window. It was unmistakably like the use of the hand. It didn't sound like a random object. This happened several times, and every time I checked there was not anyone when I pulled the curtain. Then my roommate said he heard the knock and pulled the curtain while I was sleeping. He was sure it was a ghost. Later we heard that a former foster care kid had hung himself with a belt on the door of our room, but would I would hear in the sound of this knock? My guess is that it was an innocent soul that liked us.

I think this whole neighborhood is haunted. I know exactly what house you guys are talking about. I live a block down and on occasion would park near or in front of that house. It was as if that house stares back at you.
My family has been living in this neighborhood since the 1980s and experienced all kinds of spooky. Especially the black shadow figures. Every friend I've known that lived in this area has had hauntings in their homes.
