Comment by Shell: My husband and I lived there for a little less than one year until he deployed. When we first moved in he was shaking in his sleep and I had to whack him super hard to wake him up and he said a figure was holding him down and he was trying to call my attention.
I prayed and we both fell back asleep. A few hours later he started shaking me to wake up so I sat up in bed saying what! ? ! Right then I watched our bedroom door open (it was closed) and when I looked at my husband he was sound asleep...

I live off of Douglas near the San Luis rey mission. I understand the land from the mission all the way to the ocean and up the coast all the way inland to las flores (marine corps base Camp Pendleton) was inhabited by the Native Americans known as the quechnajuichom or San Luiseno ''mission indians''.
The mission was found or built on this land in 1798. Pablo tac (1822-1841) was a luiseņo (quechnajuichom) Indian who wrote about early history of Alta California later known as the San Luis rey valley.|
In is notes he wrote: ''in quechla not long ago there were 5 000 souls with all their neighboring lands. Through a sickness that came to California 2 000 souls died and 3 000 were left. '' in 1846-1847 the mission was used as a us army military outpost.
The Mexican-american war stared battles such as battle of san pasqual battle of dominguez rancho battle of le Mesa etc. So with this said I would say if you are seeing things in o'side then it is not your imagination.
