Two years ago my mom and I were staying at the Ojai Valley Inn. We got assigned our room and were escorted there by the bellboy. When we got to our rooms it was pretty small, and the view wasn't great for what we were paying, so we called down to have them change our room. A new bellboy came, very handsome guy. He escorted us in a golf cart to the opposite side of the hotel. He said these rooms are older, but they're nicer and bigger. No one was staying

around us, so it should be pretty quiet, he said.
When entering the room it was truly an upgrade. It had gorgeous valley views and a private patio.

It was a nice room. I sat on the edge of the bed, and all of a sudden something felt off. I smelled a distinct smell and felt like maybe something bad had happened right where I was. (Side note: I used to work in the ER, so I've unfortunately seen a lot of people die, and I recognize the specific odor of death. )
It smelled human death. I didn't want to alert my mom, so I started googling Ojai Valley Inn and found other similar accounts as well
