Sometime during the night I woke to the sound of a flute being played. I ended up sitting outside until they came back. They have heard it before. The following morning we decided to check out this little door in the first bedroom to the left.
Opening the door there was a steep staircase her sister went down and started telling us the stuff she was looking at. The was a table surgical tools and jars with stuff in them. Something spooked her cause

she screamed and ran up the stairs.
Nailed the door shut. I never went back to visit there. Was told that used to be a mortuary long ago.

The haunting of the meat barn now a bar is no surprise to me because a little ways down the road from the meat barn is Hewitt Park if you read Oroville history it was originally Oroville cemetery until they found gold there and supposedly moved the graves to the cemetery on feather River Boulevard also ghost seem to be attracted to mines the cliffs of Hewitt Park contained hidden mine entrances which were covered up later to keep people out of the rotting mines these mines literally go for miles under that section of Oroville all the way to southside now to my fathers ghost story as told to me by my older sister my father his wife and my oldest sister lived in southside Oroville during the 1940's there was a trap door in a kitchen, and it led to a tunnel that would take you to the barn in the back yard my sister stated that when my dad found the trap door that strange things started happining a glass bottle was thrown by an unseen entity and cut my fathers wife pretty badly but she tried to keep my sister from seeing it so that it wouldn't scare her and at night there was a vistor (apparition) of a young lady she would make her self known by slamming the gate in front of the house and you would hear her walking through the house and my father would see her come through the room and disappear into the mirror above the chest of drawers my father wold breakout in a cold sweat and turn pale the barn was investigated by my father and his ex father in law and it seemed that some of the former owners may have done bootlegging there was really no explanation for any of the happenings in this house my father got tired of the thing going on in the house and sold it to one of his first wifes cousin.
