pier? If you go out there at night, you feel a thick cold. It is not thick as in suffocating, or cold as in weather exactly though it is freezing late

at night. However, it is thick as in busy: a fullness. A tiny silent humming you can feel deep inside your chest when you reach the end and cold as in isolation. Sometimes I feel my great grandfather there. Not because I think he's trapped or a wandering spirit, but I think that place is like a portal or beacon or something for the spirits.
