Once a very very long time ago there were deep dugout ditches along the roads. I had come home late one night after my shift as the graveyard watchman at the old mausoleum that used to stand near the old mortuary on Palm Dale blvd where. The present one now stands but this was back in 1817 before anything was named.

I had walked into the house and saw my brother standing by the water pump having a bowl of water. I walked on by him thinking nothing of it . I went upstairs to my room passing my Brothers room and I saw that my brother Richard was in bed .

Who had I seen down stairs? I turned around and shot down the steps in two bounds to see a man walking out the back door . He ran towards the deep ditch which was filled with water about 5 feet I heard the splash and dove right in behind him .
When I came out of the water just as my head cleared I felt a chill .... I was alone.

I lived in Palmdale for over 10 years. I lived on Spanish broom (within walking distance to Avenue s and 25th Street east). My sister brother in law and their three kids lived with me for 5 years. The kids experienced things.
