We came back to the house and we talked about our night. That man telling us to leave, we were doing nothing wrong. The gate was open to the school that town is public property. We will go back and when we do we will be prepared. Submitted by Lala
Comment by Port Costa Resident: Some good info for those planning on visiting. The property is not public property, it is owned by a private non profit and serves as a functioning community center. Anyone is welcome to see the school when it is open during fundraisers. That being said we have successfully prosecuted trespassers, and those people in black this lady describes are the regular old people of Port Costa that have worked hard for 20 years fixing up the school as our community center and who get seriously irritated at the many people who have damaged the building looking for ''ghosts''. Please respect the hard work the town continues to do in order to protect this valued regional asset which is listed on the national register of historic places.

So me and my sister and husband were going to Port Costa because we had heard it was haunted and about the old lady walking the dog. The road was so dark, no houses at the beginning, no lights. The road was so small. Anyway there's like a curve, so when making the curve in the car we see this man on a motor cycle come out of nowhere while we were driving. He was heading the opposite way, he was just looking dead at us not even looking where he was going. His motor cycle made no noise at all and his lights of the motor cycle were off. He we had like army clothes on and a hat, and he had long hair and looked pale. So that's all that happened, we all knew it was a ghost. Just wanted to see if people have experienced something like this.
