This happened at a home on Middlefield Road. Where do I begin? I lived there for 6 years from 2011-2017 with my small son. Old timers next door who had some knowledge of the area said that house and the twin bungalow next door were originally bunk houses for orchard workers then were gradually converted into single family homes.
By the construction they seem to have been built around 1900. Beyond that I know very little about the house other than

there seemed to have been many people who lived there over the years. There is a bus stop right in front of the house which brings a lot of people past

the front door every day. The only other thing I knew is the items I dug up while gardening: an old-fashioned square nail and a hand painted pottery shard possibly Native American, and the Jewish prayer box attached to the front doorway which I always felt was good and probably protected that space somehow.
