One more thing I wanted to mention and see if anyone else noticed this. I always wondered... Why you would hear trains in the morning. As far as I know where I was living in Ridgecrest there were no more active freight trains.
Maybe by Randsburg or Trona but not in Ridgecrest. That always weirded me out. I also used to go driving around the area when I would get frustrated. Once driving on a side road behind the foothills on my way back towards 395 right near some train tracks and a train that hasn't moved in decades a white mist swirled up in front of my car, crossed the road, and then swirled back down to the pavement.

As it did that I felt my heart drop to my lap... It was like the saddest feeling. It was so creepy. I've never seen anything like it before or since. It wasn't a dust devil either.

Back in 1980 my mother and father and I lived in a mobile home out by County Line Road on California Street. That house was soo haunted, my mother said she saw a black mass fly through the kitchen and into the living room.
