I surprised to see the front door open I've always wondered what the inside of the building looks like so I pulled over and went inside with my 4 year old son. We went to the left and proceeded all the way to the end on the left where there was a columbarium (a section for cremated remains).
The Interior was very dark and stale and dust had settled everywhere. I stood with my son in the columbarium and was trying to explain on a 4 year Olds level what

this place was all about. Suddenly there was a very loud crash right behind us.
Not more that 3 feet away a flower vase had somehow got dislodged
|
from one of the upper niches and crashed to the floor fight behind us. There was no one else in the building at the time there was no noticeable air draft and we didn't have an earthquake or anything like that.
I don't know what caused the vase to dislodge and fall while we were there and I didn't want to investigate; the only thing on my mind was getting my son out safely. It was one of the creepiest things I've ever experienced.
