I used to live in a corner house by Angelus Street in Rosemead and lived there for about 10 years. That house always had a weird vibe since the day me and my family moved in there. When we first moved in I remember my parents were talking to the landlord outside, and I was watching TV inside the living room. While I was watching the TV, I happened to catch a shadow of a hand come out from the shadow of the TV. This scared me because no one was behind me to cast a shadow like that. The windows had thick curtains, and it was already night time, so there was no sun to cast a shadow, and my parents were outside the whole time. Years passed since we moved in and things were getting creepier.

I and my mom kept hearing voices calling our names sometimes in the house. We kept hearing weird noises coming from the kitchen, and I kept waking up at 3:00 every morning on the dot. Then one day I was watching TV in the living room, and I remember I felt this heaviness like if someone was watching me or if someone was behind me. I did not like the feeling, so I turned off the TV. Then I saw a black shadow person standing in the kitchen! This blew my mind because I heard of it but this was the first time seeing it. The shadow person was missing the bottom half of his body and had arms and a head. The head was slightly warped upward as if it didn't manifest the head right. This thing was in the kitchen, I knew that. It was not a shadow cast from outside or a light illusion. This thing was inside floating in my kitchen. I kept staring at that thing for 5 seconds until it moved slightly, and that was when I turned around, and nothing was there. It still haunts me to this day thinking of that shadow being. After that my mom and dad kept feeling in the night someone sitting on the end of the bed. When they checked, no one was there. Then we decided to bless the house.

It was all good until one night when I woke up at 2 in the morning. I had the door open because we had the air conditioner on, and there it was the shadow person again. This time it was by the hallway just staring at me. This thing was black, but it still had the misshaped head, but he was floating above the heater (Our heater is an old floor heater. ) The shadow person's bottom half was still missing. Years went by and a couple of minor things happened like footsteps, curtains moving when the windows were closed, lights flickering, voices, and my sisters toys mysteriously turning on in the middle of the night. I also caught a couple of shadows in the corner of my eye. I once caught a shadow peeking from the hallway. I remember I pretended I did not noticed it and tried to catch it by surprise by running over there, but like always no one was there. I never liked that house. Because of that house I still sleep with the television on or a night light. I also hate mirrors and anything that has a reflection on it, because of the fear of what I might see behind me.
