since moving out. I'm left thinking it's been sold so often because it's haunted. Does anyone know of anything occurring in that area between 1979-1990? I'm curious to find out but have no idea how to go about it, or if I should even warn whoever resides there now.

Comment by Homer: I remember that area having lived just south of it for 54 years. I have heard some apartments there were used for drug dealing and prostitution. There may have been some deaths as result of those illicit activities. The worst known apartments for illicit stuff was on Rosemead Blvd. north of Longden and one north of Duarte Road by McDonalds. These were low rent for welfare recipients and had lots of crimes, including murders.

My family moved into a small 3-bedroom house on Marshall Street in San Gabriel about 1971 the earliest memory I have of this place. My siblings would tell my parents stories of sightings that they had encountered while walking home from a friend's house at night and so forth, but I never really paid any attention. My sisters were a bit too easily spooked out; even as the youngest of seven kids, I thought it a bit much.
Until one night in about 1975 I was about eleven years old. I stayed up late with my dad, so he could finish watching the late news when he asked me to go and shut the kitchen light off, so we could turn in for the night. When I approached the switch, the back door, which had been closed and locked, suddenly and violently slammed shut. It freaked me out. A week later I was asleep having a nightmare of what I can't recall, but I woke up and lay in the dark trying to clear my head and get back to sleep. Then all of a sudden something or someone pushed my mattress from under the bed. I lay there for what was probably a few seconds but seemed like an eternity frozen in fear. I was unable to speak or move. I leapt and ran out of that room.
