out. All I could say was ''I told you.''. Submitted by anonymous

In 1957 my family moved into a quaint little two-bedroom house located on Del Mar, just north of Valley Boulevard. I was an eight year old boy, and I was terrorized by an entity that would come in to my bedroom at night and stand at the foot of my bed. I would lie there with my blanket over my head frozen in terror. It wanted me to look at it standing there, but I prayed for it to go away from my bed. It would scratch the sides of the walls, and poke me from underneath the mattress. My parents would never believe me when I told them about the ghost terrorizing me. My sister knew that the ghost was targeting me, but she was powerless to help me.
I was alone in the house on a rainy Saturday. I was cooking some sausages in the kitchen, when the ghost seemed to squeeze the life out of me. I fought the damn thing off and ran outside in the pouring rain, and waited for my family to return home. We lived in that house for two years, and then my folks moved to La Mirada where they bought a home. A week or so after we moved out, an Italian gardener moved into the creepy house, and was killed a week later in the crosswalk in front of the house.

I grew up, got married, fought in the Vietnam War, and settled down. This was almost a period of twenty years since I left that house as a child. I went to bed one night, and had a very strange dream about the haunted house from my childhood. In the dream, I drove up to the house, parked my car in front on Del Mar and got out. As I walked toward the house, I could see a large hole in the roof. The house was vacant and run down. The inside was all torn up and vandalized. Weeds overgrew the flower beds and driveway. I was standing inside looking through a broken window pane. The wind blew an old rotted tattered sheer curtain across my face, and I awoke with my heart pounding out of my chest! I picked up some film, and drove to the site of my haunted youth. There was the house, just as it had appeared to me in my dream. I stood in front of the same tattered curtain and took photos, which I still have today.

Today an apartment building stands on that half acre of land. I think the ghost that haunted me there is somehow tied to the land there. It could be a famous ghost that moves around to different homes in that area of San Gabriel. I still have dreams about that house on occasion, and the uncomfortable feeling is always present. Grew up in SG Village. Too many stories to share. Many similar to what I've seen here. One of my favorites is when Sears AC guys (2) were installing a new system into our home. Around 2009. By the time they were done they were anxious to get going.
