I rented a house in Sebastopol for four years from 2014 until 2018. I was told by my neighbor that it was one of the first houses in the town. It was built in the late 1800s and on the 400 block of S. Main St. There is an old workshop out back that I always felt like someone didn't want me in there, especially messing with all the tools that were still there. There were old chairs, what looked like a wooden military chest with a number on it, and

a cabinet of some sort with a bunch of pull out drawers. I believe all to be handmade by an older gentleman.
I treated his things with respect

and became very interested in woodworking myself. The first thing I built was a chair made of poplar and several cabinets that I felt was guided by him since I had no experience in making anything, but somehow I knew what steps to take in building them, and they all turned out beautifully. My friends were amazed I built from scratch. I worked on something all the time. I built a veranda and a fence made of redwood as well as a few gates, all of which
