When I was growing up in the 1980s I heard the story of the lady without a head appearing west 7th Standard in Shafter, CA. As a lot of the old folks have died over the years, this story seems to have died off. Does anybody remember the story to this? Why would the lady appear?.

What I'm about to describe is to this day vivid in my recollections. I was driving down central Valley highway around 2230 hours and as I approached Seventh Standard Road I saw an man, but he was transparent and white smoke like.
As I began to break for the stop at Seventh Standard Road the male apparition walked right through my drivers side window and through the left hand side of my body. I almost couldn't believe it, but then I know of the many lives lost at this specific intersection.
Several friends and families of friends have had members tragically killed here. What makes this even more creepy is that less than a week before a young man was killed at the very spot the apparition walked through me.
