Several years back a boyfriend and I snuck down to Secret Beach to camp. Instead of being romantic, by ten pm or so we ended up sitting inside our tent arguing. What shut us up was a crunching sound coming down the hillside behind our tent. We assumed it to be a bear, but weren't that worried as we had run through the typical precautions when camping in bear country (leaving all food and sweet smelling items outside and away from the tent, keeping a

pot and large spoon inside the tent if needed to make a ruckus. ) Pretty soon we heard what sounded like a second bear tentatively approaching from the
|
hillside. This continued until it sounded as though four or five bears were slowly circling our tent. Their feet were making crunching noises in the sand.
We were so terrified. All we could do was huddle in our sleeping bags and try not to move, breathe, or otherwise draw attention. Somehow we both ended up falling asleep and both proceeded to have the exact same horrific nightmare involving a young girl with shoulder length curly dark hair and glasses. We
