I was born and raised in Johnstonville right outside of Susanville. I grew up in an old big 2-story house. The upstairs and the kitchen were where the hauntings still happen. The upstairs had all hardwood floors, and we kids would hear the clicking of a dogs toenails all the time, but no dog was there. Also my sister would wake up every morning to clothes hangers in her bedroom floor. I always felt someone sitting on my bed but couldn't see them. The ghost always threw all our shoes down the stairs into the kitchen. Finally we started seeing him. He wears an army suit from the early 1900s with one of those hats. He's never hurt anyone, but he is not a happy ghost at all. And he never leaves the upstairs and kitchen area. He still scares us to this day. My family stills owns the house for over 50 years now.

My best friend was telling me a story about her dad when he was a child he lived in a house on Shasta Street. He was in his room trying to go to sleep when he saw a face of what he thought looked like the devil.

To this day her dad still remembers the incident, he was telling me about it not to long ago and it was comparable to exactly what my best friend told me. The story kind of freaked me out. He got kind of jittery when he was talking about it and got a scared look in he face and I could hear it in his voice.
I truly do believe Susanville is haunted, I've experienced paranormal stuff myself. Especially after I went to the old hospital. The very next day something just didn't seem right. I even captured several pictures of what looked like ghosts. Along with some orbs.
The perfect faces I captured in the photos is what really tripped me out. I've had other incidents with paranormal activity as well therefore I do think Susanville is haunted and not just the old hospital..
