Just Susanville itself. My boyfriend has experienced loss of air just walking down the street and thought he has seen things. Being it is an old town it seems haunted. Looking at the old creepy houses and buildings and hearing about people's experiences gives me a gut feeling that it's haunted. My friends and I agree it's haunted. Submitted by Kristi

My girlfriend was telling me a story of how when she was living in her house over on Gentry Lane and she woke up in the middle of the night one time at her house but her house wasn't there. None of the homes were built, and it seemed like ages ago, and there was a quite large tree in the center of the living room and there was a corpse hanging from it.

It was a Caucasian male and he was wearing a black suit. I wouldn't have given it much thought but she also told me that she swears that she was awake when seeing this and it happened on more than one occasion with the same incident. That's how I found this web site was, I was searching for murders/suicides in Susanville from ages past. Submitted by David

The old Roosevelt Pool was supposedly haunted. My daughter worked there and said in the basement you could smell cigarette smoke when the paranormal activity was occurring, there was no way anyone was in the building let alone smoking.
