When I grew up there would be a ghost in our house that would rearrange ornaments. My mom would arrange her little statues and such and when we came back home they would be arranged differently. The ghost never did anything bad to us.
I think it just wanted to let us know that this house was not entirely ours. I'm guessing the ghost was a previous owner of the house. It was an old house by local standards that had had a few owners over the years.

don't want to give out the address due to privacy issues but I'm sure the ghost is rearranging the current resident's ornaments as well.
