There is a small house along Ave. 66 in Thermal, actually 100 Palms. I lived in this house 14 years and had a few experiences. One of them was witnessed by both my then-girlfriend and I. It was a Saturday about 1-2 PM, I had just finished watching a movie when my girlfriend came in and put on a show. As I got up to leave she turned to her left towards me and I too had turned to my left. On a bookshelf less than 6 feet away and about 4 foot high an ashtray full of change lifted up about 8-10 inches. The ashtray was now about 5 ft. off the ground and moved about 3ft. to my right, stopped and hovered for a few split seconds then dropped. Not one coin fell out.
We both turned to the TV as the show had started, possibly in shock as we did not utter one word until the first commercial. We looked at each other and I asked ''did you see that?'' She replied ''Yes. '' I asked ''what did you see?'' She then described exactly the same thing I saw. We left the ashtray there for about a half hour as I actually thought it might attack me. Impossible you say, right? Well it should never have moved in the first place, and once it did all bets were off on NORMAL/POSSIBLE/IMPOSSIBLE. It wasn't the only experience I-we had there, just the most memorable.
