I lived in Truckee in a house up behind the P. U. D. I will not give out the exact address out of respect for the current homeowner. That house was definitely haunted by we think two separate entities.
Full bodied apparitions were witnessed by myself and 4 other people. We often heard heavy footsteps on the stairs, saw orbs especially in the downstairs bedroom. We also had poltergeist activity in the kitchen, the basement, and I was told one of the bedrooms.

Even though one of the entities was definitely a dark evil spirit my family and I lived there for 8 years. I tried to investigate the history to hopefully get some answers on why this was happening but I wasn't able to quite figure it out.

The house was built on part of the old original 'Donner Trail' but it really wasn't that old, it was built around 1960. Wish I could talk to the current homeowner sometime!.

Comment by Ryn: To whom posted the story: I too lived on Donner Trail Rd behind PUD wondering if same house? It sure sounds like it. I had heard many many stories about happenings in this house and ended up believing myself.
I was awoken about 3 am one time to a lady standing over me almost as if she was holding me down. It looked like she had liquid coming from face area (possibly drowning). She had a white aura to her.
I got scared screamed for dogs. Only problem was I was paralyzed! I could not move, yell, and felt like oxygen was being sucked from my lungs. I was able to close my eyes for a moment and pray. When I reopened my eyes she was gone.
