I have lived in my condo for a long time. I have experienced many odd things. I have heard a whisper into my ear I have been poked. I have been pushed. Most recently have felt someone sit at the edge of my bed.
A neighbor that has lived in this complex since the 80s thinks that someone may have died in my unit, but she isn't certain. I don't think the spirit is evil. I get the feeling they want my attention.

It happened to a family our family knew. They moved into a big beautiful house in Tustin, Calif. It was not an old house, maybe 5 or 6 years old. It had a new pool just put in. It was so big and roomy, and everything looked new inside and out. They had bought it at a very low price at a time when they were doing well financially. As soon as they started to stay there things started happening.
The first night they spent there it started to rain. They heard a lot of strange sounds that sounded like moaning and even whispering. They thought it was just the storm, and the house noises they weren't used to. The next time they noticed something strange when a musty smell seemed to be coming from one of the upstairs rooms. IT WAS THE ROOM the youngest daughter was moving into, but for some reason she said she was scared of the thing that watched her from inside the closet; it sometimes growled real low.
