and knock us down a peg. I haven't been back since. My ex, my mom, and my now-deceased grandmother each told me that they had had their own supernatural experiences in that building.

Comment by Cory: I was told by high desert old timers that have since passed away that place has Native American graves beneath it and strange things have always happened around there.

I live in Phelan California, just off Phelan Road near Caughlin. I have lived in Phelan almost twenty years now. In May of 2005 we had a Desert Star home built in this area. When we moved in my two older kids had rooms joining each other and their closets were connected. My son told me he would hear talking and a small child (a little girl) giggling. My daughter claimed the same thing coming from her closet, so we decided to put a micro recording device in the closet of one of the rooms when everyone went to bed. The next morning we reviewed the recorder and was amazed at the results. We heard what appeared to be chanting, almost like the Native American dance rituals followed by a mumbling of a man's voice and a little girl. This was just amazing to us. We ourselves are of Cherokee and Apache descent. I am a spiritual person and love the earth on which we live.
A few months later my oldest daughter got up to go to the bathroom which was directly across from her room and right next to her brother's room. As she got up and walked just out her door she heard what appeared to be a little girl say ''do not go. '' Well my daughter turned and looked at my son who was in his room and said ''did you hear that?'' My son said ''mom you should have seen the look on her face. '' My daughter literally broke into tears. The following year my father came down from Oklahoma for a visit. He stayed with us from September to early December; he then returned home. Sadly my father passed away two weeks after he had returned home from heart failure on January 3rd, 2006. Since then we have had numerous sightings in our home of what appeared to be a man with the same stature as my father.
What was all the more eerie was that those who came to visit also saw this apparition. One evening I was working on my computer (my father would join me sometimes and lend a helping hand). As I sat at the computer trying to get some late night work done I felt a large hand press down on the top of my head. Something my dad would do as he was saying goodnight to me. It was the weight of the hand. I felt not a breeze or my hair moving. It was so heavy! I would be sitting on the sofa and would see a dark shadow (looked like pop) just walk right on by, going from one room to the other, as if he was checking things out. When my dad was here he would be waiting for his clothes to end the wash cycle, he would lean on the washer, which is one of the apparitions I see very frequently. My sister was here for Thanksgiving in 2009. We were in the bathroom, I was doing her hair when I felt a hand press against my shoulder. My sister then dropped down as if she was hit on the back of the knees. She asked ''what you do that for'''' I said ''it was not me. I think it was dad. '' I believe he was glad to see us together. My sister lives in Oklahoma, so we do not see each other often.
