I used to work in Visalia. Driving home to Dinuba one night, I decided to drive on Road 112 that goes past the Bob Wiley Detention Center. It was during the winter, so at 6:00 pm it was already dark. I was about a quarter of a mile from the detention center when I could see something up ahead of me glowing on the right hand side of the road. As I got closer, I saw it was an elderly man. He was wearing a straw hat and blue long sleeved shirt and khaki colored pants. He was standing looking straight across the road with his hands holding a cane in front of him.
I know this sounds crazy, but he was glowing like he was surrounded by his own light. There were no houses around that area at that time. This was 1996. He didn't acknowledge my car as I drove by but just stood staring across the road into the dark night. I drove past him, and when I looked in my rear view mirror he was gone. That scared me pretty badly. I never took that road home again. This is actually the first time I've shared the story because it sounds so crazy. Has anyone else seen this glowing man on Road 112?.

Comment by anonymous: No, but if you continue going north in Road 112 and turn a right on Avenue 368 heading towards the orange packing house and turn another right on Road 63, you'll see some a train tracks and supposedly people claim to see a man walking or standing near the tracks around midnight. I guess some guy also crashed and died there. Maybe that's his ghost.

When I was about eight our family moved into its first home on Santa Fe and Tulare. It was quite nice and had a lot of space, so we were happy. About the first few years of living there we had some experiences: one being while the whole family was watching TV our VCR (this was in the 90s) turned itself on and sucked in a tape that had been sticking out one quarter of the way. It began rewinding itself, stopped, pushed the tape out, and then turned itself of, my brother commenting ''be kind rewind. ''
