I heard noises. I wanted to see if there were any mule or donkey tracks, but there were none. But there my Birkenstocks and rifle were where I left them that early morning, but there were no sign of tracks -- nothing, just my foot prints. Rick smiled and asked what I had been smoking! For a moment he thought I was messing with him? He knew I was kind of weirded out by what I was telling him, and I was telling him the truth! We saw some people working that
morning in the area, so we asked them if they had seen any mule tracks or large animal tracks. They answered ''no. '' I do not know if this area was haunted,
or was it a personal haunted moment? But it still to this day gives me the chills.|

Comment by JPL: This place referred too as ''The Rancho Blanco'' is a very old historical place from the early 1900s. 100s of Japanese, Chinese, Philippinos, Latino migrant workers dwelled in the six camps created by the owner John D. Martin. So many many people came and went, some died in the cabins from illnesses and other reasons. Some just left without telling anyone. Cotton wood creek runs right down the middle of the JD Martin Ranch are there are two hills called ''Bacon Hill'' where Native American Indians lived and had a sacred healing area. There are grinding holes and drawings, a small Indian burial ground found at the foot of the hill.
This doesn't mean the J. D. Martin Ranch is haunted but there could be a lot of unrested souls there.
