My grandparents owned a Spanish style mansion of sorts in West Covina. It was very haunted. There was a woman that would appear beside my grandfather's bed while he was sleeping. He would get so startled that he would leap into my grandmother's bed. There was a hanging man in the stairwell to the roof. I would cover my face at night going past it to go to the bathroom. At night while sleeping on the indoor patio, the French doors all along the wall to the formal living room would open. Music would play and couples in formal wear would come through and dance.
There was a man that would pace the roof as though he were on guard. The laundry room was attached to the garage, and there was an older woman who would scold us children whenever we were in there. My grandfather closed up the rooms his children would sleep in once they had grown and moved away. He said those rooms were not safe to be in anymore.
