Years ago (when I lived on Bailey Street) whenever I had an argument with my husband or was depressed I would either go on long walks or drive somewhere to get away.
I loved walking to Rose Hills and for some reason after visiting there during my bouts of depression I would leave feeling with a feeling of spiritual lifting because the scenery was so serene and beautiful.
One day I felt like visiting the mausoleum, I can never to this day understand

why. I walked feeling exceptionally upset with my husband that day. I arrived, met the guide there and signed in as a guest.
I proceeded to stroll
|
through the halls reading the names on the vaults and admiring the beautiful floral arrangements that were left there by loved ones. Familiar hymns were being played on the sound system throughout the mausoleum.
I loved to sing so I was humming to the chords of ''Old Rugged Cross'' and finally before rounding the corner into the final section of the vaults the speaker was playing ''Abide With Me. '' I was singing the words as I rounded the corner....
