About then ---again, we were overcome by some fear, but were not in our own operative capacities--- these scary freaks started migrating toward the centre of the street , coming right for us .
I yelled, ''LET'S GET THE **** OUTTA HERE !!!''
He pressed the Pinto's accelerator into the worn carpet and we went screaming down Turnbull Canyon Rd towards its terminus at Beverley Bl; tires squealing

Upon our approach to the canyon's end, we see that Whittier P. D. Had the road blocked (!!)
An officer yelled , ''HALT !! STOP !!''

did you guys get up here ?!?!'' , he barked .
Before we could answer, he was on his radio , screaming at 'someone' :
'' I TOLD YOU GUYS TO ****ING BLOCK THE ****ING STREETS !!''
He then turned to us and said, ''GO ! GO ! Get the hell outta here ! You didn't see a ****ing thing tonight !'' , as he yanked on the sawhorse to clear just enough room for my friend's car to squeeze-through.
Believe this as truth !
