It was 1992. My husband and I rented a place in Harbor (just over the bridge from Brookings). It was an older white house with blue trim on the right side of Hwy 101 going south. We rented the bottom half of the house. It was made into three apartments, one above us and one below. We never saw much of the other tenants mostly because we both worked a lot.
One night I had gotten home late from work, so I decided to lie down on the couch and

watch some TV. About an hour into lying there still awake, I noticed a dark mass floating from the hallway that led to the bedrooms towards me in the
|
living room. Before I knew it this mass was on top of me. I could not move or blink. Worst of all I wanted to scream, but nothing would come out. We divorced within months after that.
