I was horrified that her folks would let her be out by herself but even more disturbed when she stopped near the center of the road and dropped smoothing out flat and then disappearing into the pavement! By this time--I was just a few feet from where she stood.
The things I noticed about her from my Vantage point were that she was somehwhat one dimensional--almost flat looking from the side more of a silhouette than a person--and that she

seemed to have simply melted into the pavement! I pulled my car over to the side of the road and looked at the pavement where she had vanished.
Nothing

was there except for flat black wet asphault. She had simply disappeared. As I pulled back onto the road and drove I noticed two young adults walking toward me. They gave me a wary look as I slowly moved past them.
I was thinking about asking them if they had just seen what I had but decided it was not wise to pull up to two people I did not know being I was alone it was early morning and they sort of looked a little sketchy in the first place.
