I used to live in a house off Douglas Street in Dallas with my family. We have had multiple encounters with the ghost there. It all started when I was about thirteen. (I've lived here since I was six). One afternoon I was home alone playing on the computer with the door closed. I could faintly hear this older woman screaming ''Help me! Help me!'' I instantly got scared, and my gut instinct told me to open the door, so I did. I could hear the woman scream louder ''help me, help me''. At first I thought maybe someone was leaving a message on the answering machine, so I ran out of the room into the living room. The lady stopped screaming instantly, and there was no message on my house phone.
I got really scared. I ran back to the room and closed my door. I didn't hear anything after that because I started to blast my music to block the sound out. Another incident I had involved an item of mine. I was watching a movie called ''White Noise''. It's a scary movie about the afterlife. Anyway after I had gone to bed I woke up to a blue hair bow/clip of mine discolored. Next to my bow sat a red marker with the cap off. The ghost had colored a item of mine, which really freaked me out.

My last incident was the scariest. I was walking out to my living room in the dark. My mom was asleep on the couch. I see this 6-foot tall figure standing in front of my mom. Thinking it was my stepdad standing over her, I said ''quit messing with mom she's trying to sleep''. I walked passed this figure into the kitchen. Then I turned a brief second and turned back around. The figure was gone. I looked down the hall way. Nobody was there.

Later on the next day I asked my stepdad why he was in front of mom so late at night. He told me that wasn't him. Then when I was telling my mom what I saw, she had told me she felt someone touching her hair. We have also heard children running down the hallway laughing and jumping up and down on the beds while we are trying to sleep. My mom has had her hair pulled multiple times also. This house is very active day or night.

I grew up in a home in Dallas that was built in the 1890s, regardless of what the ad says. I see it's been up for sale off and on now for about 12 years. They totally ruined property by leveling it and removing ancient oaks, all other trees, orchards, garden spaces, smoke house, etc. (Sorry but true) They remodeled the home into a '' modern'' looking house and white washed it all. Maybe the spirits are angry now. Anyway, the home had always been inhabited by spirits -- someone who had lived in the area many years prior. An elder (I won't mention any names) told us that I woman by the name of Emily was killed in the home in the very late 1800s or early 1900s.
