Approximately 5 years ago some family came to visit us in Grants Pass Oregon. My parents older sister and myself moved here when I was 13 about 24 years ago so it was nice to have family we hadn't seen in over 20 years visit.
They stayed at a newer hotel in Grants Pass on the 3rd floor. I went with them up to the 3rd floor when they checked in when we exited the elevator I immediately noticed a woman at the end of the hallway at the window.

was in late 19th early 20th century dress in the color black. Having a huge interest in all types of history subjects I realized from her dress and hat

and veil she was in mourning clothes. Clothing worn by someone after the death of a loved one.
She paced with her back to us frantically back and forth in front of that window. She seemed (you could feel it) panicked you could sense desperation. I passed it off as possibly there was a party or rehearsal of a play.
Someone in costume(s) for an event or reenactment of some kind. I should add though it was not even close to October so Halloween is out.
