a poster on the wall advertising ''Sexton Days''; a local yearly historical event that the local ''Hugo Neighborhood Historical Society'' presented as a community activity. I made a comment to the shopkeeper regarding my family ties to the Sexton's. She told us that we should try to make plans on attending the event, that there weren't many living relatives of the Sexton's around and we'd find the event quite fun and interesting.

for the next weekend. We attended this event which was an all day event filled with interesting skits with actors dressed up to portray these important

historical characters, describing the dangerous events in their lives that occurred due to the warring Indian tribes that attacked them and massacring killing many of the settlers in the area, etc. The staff of the local Hugo Society were very happy that I came. I contributed Sexton Family Portraits that they'd never knew existed. To finish off the day, my husband Karl and I drove to the Cemetery to pay our respects to the Sexton's before we went
