I lived in Independence in a house on Main Street. The house was beautiful, inviting and wonderful while the sun was up. When it went down at night the entire house became odd. Doors would open and then close themselves. If you specifically closed a door, you would find it wide open a second later. Not all doors however. There were a few very odd rooms in the house. One had no clear purpose, apparently for storage. It had a very small rusty window in

it that we could never open. The strange thing was that there was a room within that room with a small door. The inner room was finished but had no windows,

and no way out from the inside. Whatever temperature the house sat at, that room was so cold you could see your breath. The doors to this room would open and close by themselves.
One day while my mother, brother, and I were upstairs, we heard this awful wrenching sound and a thud. In the strange room the window was wide open. We were scared but thought we were being silly. We attempted to close the window, but it was hard. We had to use a hammer
