Grew up in Independence and yes there is a lot of paranormal activity there. My parents rented several houses during my childhood. I don't think everyone is sensitive to it, so some might think they are all lies. It is a very powerful little town. Multiple people in my family experienced frightening events.
I now live in a different state after my last experience of waking up with what appeared as hickie marks all over my body. I visit less frequently. The only way I knew they were there is I caught a glimpse of myself in the bathroom mirror. Otherwise, I would have never noticed them. They were on the back of my legs, arms and legs.

I once heard of strange happenings across the river heading towards South Salem. I used to have the most vivid nightmares about that road. I think something really bad happened in that town at some point. Especially, around the old mill area on F Street and end of 4th Street near Hemlock Loop just to name a couple.

Beware of anything so frightening in the middle of the night that may appear as a dream. How can different people have the same dream on the same night? Talk about your nightly terrors you'll be surprised who else experienced the same dream. Piece of advice is say your prayers every night. .
